JUST LIKE VOODOO is the new record from Sydney three piece, the Blind Hot Gems, and it is smoking hot!

Sounding at times like Cornelius and at others like QOTSA there are plenty of big beats and pounding riffs. The guitar bass drums line up lets loose with shuffles and dance rock, strays into electro land and then back into some lush experimental plateaus. Sound quality is superb on this album with plenty of grunt all through this band’s debut release on boutique label Yum Yum Tree Records.

If this album was an arcade game it would be Street Fighter, but with the controls from Guitar Hero instead of a joy stick!
